01Stock across branches
Know what’s on the shelf at every branch, without making a call.
Open any product to see how much is here, how much there is across all your branches, and where the rest is. Anything at or below its reorder level is marked Low, and shows up on Home before it runs out.
Stock by branch. One look shows each branch’s quantity, with low and out-of-stock marked.
Batches with their own prices. Receive stock with its buy price, sell price and supplier, so margins stay true when prices change.
Counts that explain themselves. Correcting a count needs a reason: damaged, expired, lost or stolen. It stays in the batch history.
Your catalogue, your way. Photos, categories within categories, and units by the piece or the kilo.
02Offline selling
Keep selling when the internet drops.
The queue doesn’t wait for the network. Sales go on the phone and upload when the connection comes back, and the bar at the top always says whether you’re offline, syncing or synced, and how many sales are waiting.
Sign in without a connection on a phone that has signed in before, with your password or fingerprint.
Records live on the server, not on one phone. Lose a phone and nothing that uploaded is lost.
Sell as usual
A sale made offline is saved on the phone, with a receipt to share.
It uploads by itself
Back online, sales upload oldest first. The app also retries every 5 minutes.
Problems come to you
If a sale can’t be accepted, say the stock ran out meanwhile, it’s flagged with the reason to fix and resend.
Connect once a day
Each phone must reach the server every 24 hours. It warns you from 20 hours, then pauses new sales until it syncs.
03Credit
Stop losing track of who owes you.
A credit sale is recorded against a named customer, not on a scrap of paper. The Credit list adds up what’s owed, puts the oldest first and marks anything a week old as overdue. When the customer pays, mark it paid, in cash or by bank transfer.
Overdue credit on Home. What you’re owed, and who is late, is on the first screen you open.
Every customer’s account. See what each customer owes and has bought, and call them from the app.
Your rules. Selling on credit and marking credit as paid are separate permissions you give, or don’t.
04Staff
See who sold what. Decide who can do what.
Every sale carries a name
Each person signs in with their own phone number, so every sale, receipt and stock change records who did it.
Sales by person. Filter sales history by who sold, by branch and by date.
An audit log. Who added, changed or removed a product, batch, price, category, customer or supplier, and what changed.
Voids need a reason. A voided sale stays in history, marked Voided, and its stock goes back.
Each person gets what their job needs
Twenty switches in five groups, from “See buy prices” to “Void sales”. Staff see only the screens they’re allowed to use.
Branch by branch. People sell, receive and transfer only at the branches you tick.
Prices stay yours. Buy prices and profit are hidden unless you allow them, and only admins change a price at the till.
Quick to start, quick to stop. New staff get a temporary password and choose their own. Deactivate someone in one step.
05Branches and reports
Run several branches like one shop.
Move stock between branches, on the record
Stock leaves the sending branch when it’s sent and arrives when the receiving branch completes the transfer. Cancel it, and the stock stays where it was. Staff switch the branch they’re working in from the top of the screen.
Reports for any period
Today, the last 7 or 30 days, this month, last month or dates you choose, with your branches and staff ranked side by side. Cost and profit figures show only to people allowed to see buy prices.

- Point the phone’s camera at a barcode, or search by name or SKU.

- Search for something you’re out of and see which branch has it.

Questions
Good to know before you start.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. Mezgeb runs on Android phones and tablets.
How do I get started?
Get in touch and we’ll set your shop up with you. After that, you add your own staff from the app.
Does it work without internet?
Selling does. Sales are saved on the phone and upload by themselves when the connection is back. Screens that show live figures, such as stock quantities and the customer list, need a connection. Each phone has to reach the server at least once every 24 hours; after that, new sales pause until it syncs.
Can several people use it at once?
Yes. Each person has their own account on their own phone, with the permissions and branches you give them. Signing in to the same account on a second phone signs the first one out.
Can my staff see what I paid for stock?
Only if you switch on “See buy prices” for them. Without it, they don’t see buy prices or profit anywhere in the app.
What happens if a phone is lost or broken?
Your records are kept on Mezgeb’s server, not on the phone. Sign in on another phone and carry on. Only sales made offline that hadn’t uploaded yet are stored on the phone itself.
How do I pay for a plan?
By bank transfer or telebirr. In the app, choose a plan, transfer the amount to one of the accounts shown, and enter the transaction reference.
How do I update the app?
Download the new APK from this site and install it over the one you have. Don’t uninstall first: sales waiting to upload are stored on the phone.

Installing the APK
Download the file
On the phone, tap Download for Android. If the browser asks whether to keep the file, choose to download it anyway.
Allow this install
Open the file. The first time, Android asks to allow installs from your browser or file manager: tap Settings, turn on “Allow from this source”, then go back.
Install and sign in
Tap Install, open Mezgeb, and sign in with your phone number and password.
